Wow, this is a fancy mask. So fancy, in fact that it should probably be called a masque, and you should only be able to pay for it with a cheque before you wear it to the theatre. Since it only covers your face from the nose up, it's not a particularly effective disguise, though, unless you happen to live somewhere with a lot of superheroes (since those places are known for having an incredibly gullible citizenry).

- The adventure this item comes from refers to the Edgar Allen Poe story "The Masque of the Red Death". In this adventure, however, they are hiding from the Grey Plague.
- The statements about "cheque" and "theatre" imply that "masque" is the British English spelling of mask, which it is not. It could also be attempting to draw a parallel between mask/masque and check/cheque, and then continuing on to theatre because of the British English spelling of cheque. It also implies that the British English spellings are more moxious.
