Dissonant Riff

Type: Combat
MP Cost: 2

You might think that accordions can only make beautiful sounds, but you're wrong -- they can make annoying sounds, too.

Damages and weakens your opponent

Source: Guild Trainer
Price: 125 Meat
Class: Accordion Thief
Level: 1
Effect: Deals 4-6 damage and lowers monster level by 4.
When Used:
With an accordion equipped:

You play the opening chord from Phantom of the Opera, piercing your opponent's ears for 4-6 damage.

or

You play a minor, diminished, torturous chord, refusing to resolve it. Your opponent winces and takes 4-6 damage.

or

You play a G7 chord and steadfastly refuse to resolve it to C, while your opponent grinds his teeth and takes 4-6 damage.

or

You loosen the reeds on your accordion and play teeth-grinding semitones for 4-6 damage.

or

You play a G7sus4, putting your opponent through a hard day's night in just a few seconds. He squirms and takes 4-6 damage.

or

You squeeze the bellows as hard as you can and play an ear-piercing, dissonant Oom Pah Pah that is more like an "Oops, Aw Nah." Your opponent takes 4-6 damage.

or

You play a major chord, then add in a minor seventh, third, fifth, and second, until your opponent is bleeding out the ears for 4-6 damage.

or

You mash your whole palm into the keyboard, hitting every key in the octave, and work the bellows until your opponent is bleeding out the ears.

or

You play the melody to "The Merry-go-round Broke Down," but in a minor key with purposeful accidentals. Your opponent winces and takes 4-6 damage.

or

You play a bunch of random keys on your accordion, producing a dissonant honk. Your opponent cringes and suffers 4-6 internal damage.

Without an accordion equipped:

You try to hum, howl, and whistle at the same time. It's not all that dissonant, and only does 1-2 damage, but you get an A for effort.

or

Since you don't have a musical instrument to create dissonance, you try for cognitive dissonance instead, confusing your opponent for a paltry 1-2 damage.

or

You manage to sneeze and whistle at the same time, hitting your opponent for a dissonant 1-2 damage. It's okay, but you should probably get an instrument.

or

You try to create a dissonant noise by breaking wind and screaming at the same time, but you only produce a major chord (in the key of C, if you're curious). Your opponent takes 1-2 damage, possibly out of pity.

or

You attempt to sing two dissonant tones at the same time. Since you're not trained in throat singing, you just end up screaming at your opponent for a paltry 1-2 damage.

or

You scrape your fingernails across a nearby chalkboard, doing 1-2 damage. It'd probably be less painful for you, though, if you got an instrument to play dissonant riffs on.

or

You make as dissonant a growl as you can, and it does 1-2 damage, but it kind of hurts your throat. Maybe you should get an accordion for next time.

or

You make as dissonant a noise as is possible with no accordion by screaming while making funny noises with your armpit. Your opponent is unimpressed, to the tune of 1-2 damage.
