• The filename, "jeff was right", refers to actor Jeff Goldblum, and more specifically Dr. Ian Malcom, his character in the Jurassic Park movie series, a mathematician specializing in chaos theory.
• This is a reference to the butterfly effect, which in chaos theory supposes that a storm in one part of the world could be caused by a butterfly flapping its wings across the globe.
