• On August 8, 2006, this effect was changed from +40 Damage Absorption to an unknown amount of Damage Reduction -- see this HCO spading thread for more info. Roughly speaking the DR ranges from ~3 at level one to ~15 at level 12 (but increases nonlinearly beyond that).
