- The fact that "he doesn't need" the badge may be a reference to a famous, often misquoted line from the film The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Many sources misquote this line as: "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!" The film UHF spoofs that with "Badgers? Badgers? We don't need no stinking badgers!"
