At Least It's Not Full Of Trash

The flickering light of your torch (or whatever it is that you're using to see in this place; I'm just going to assume it's a torch until further notice) falls on an unusual carving in the stone wall that looks incredibly similar to the sketch in your father's diary. You poke at the carving for a bit, eventually unlocking a hidden mechanism. The section of wall slides back, revealing a a small room.

As you enter the chamber, a stone slab slams down behind you, sealing the room shut. You hear a hideous grinding noise, and the walls start to close in on you! You're about to be squashed into jelly, and you're not ready for that.

You jam a spare dagger (which we didn't bother to mention before) into the gap between the wall and the floor, and watch as it gets ground into powder. That's pretty annoying, but not as annoying as being crushed between two massive stone blocks, as you soon discover.

You lose (all) hit points.

You wave your hands nonchalantly over your head, and your fingertips brush a stone bar that had lowered from the ceiling, unnoticed. You grab it, frantically, and it pulls you up through a trapdoor just as the walls slam together beneath your feet. That was too close -- you were almost a $name sandwich!

You get on your knees and start praying to every god you can think of, and a few that you make up on the spot. None of them seem particularly inclined to help you.

Jerks.

You lose (all) hit points.

Occurs at The Hidden Temple.

This only occurs after obtaining your father's MacGuffin diary as part of the Quest for the Holy MacGuffin (Level 11 Quest).

• A hint to the correct choice is found on page 4 of your father's MacGuffin diary:

References

• The sentence "That was too close -- you were almost a $name sandwich!" is a reference to a scene in Resident Evil when Jill is rescued from a room with a falling ceiling by Barry. Barry states, "That was too close -- you were almost a Jill sandwich!"
• The choice to "kneel penitently on the ground" is a reference to a scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where Indiana kneels to avoid a razor blade trap in accordance to the advice (the penitent man will be saved) in his father's diary.
• The name of this adventure is a reference to Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope where Luke and Han Solo are trapped in a giant trash compactor.
• The image for this adventure is a reference to Pikachu from the Pokémon series.
• The sentence "You're about to be squashed into jelly, and you're not ready for that," is a reference to Destiny's Child's song Bootylicious, which contains the oft-repeated line "I don't think you're ready for this jelly."
