Ancient guardian statue

 You're fighting an ancient guardian statueAs he pushed through the dense jungle undergrowth, Krakrox came upon an ancient weathered statue, a rough, blocky representation of a human form. Presumably the builders of the ancient city had placed them around to ward off evil spirits and the like.
As its eyes suddenly flash with green light and the head slowly turns to face you (and/or Krakrox... man, these temporal shifts will have been the death of me), it occurs to you that maybe they were put here to ward off living adventurers as well.
