- This item refers to the phrase "albatross around one's neck", which originated from Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
- The item description also makes reference to the "Albatross" sketch from Monty Python's Flying Circus, where an ice cream vendor tries to sell an albatross, and when asked what flavor it is, replies "It's bloody albatross-flavored!"
