A Shark's Chum
As you walk into the Billiard room, you see an angry-looking spectre drifting around the table. It spots you and begins stalking toward you, hissing "Sharked! Hustled! Cheated!"
"Sounds like someone's a sore loser," you smirk.
The ghost howls with rage and rushes at you. Looks like this is your cue, if you've got the balls.
|Rack 'em up|
Grabbing a triangle from the wall, you start racking up the balls. "Double or nothing?"
The ghost stops short, looking unsure of itself, then grins and hisses.
"I'll take that as a yes."
A pool cue levitates off of its stand and floats towards the ghost, who takes it and steps up to the table to break. It's noticeably calmer now, its eyes -- or rather, the holes where its eyes used to be -- narrowed in concentration.
It turns out to be a better pool player than you are -- much better. It wins handily, but at least you pick up some valuable pointers from watching.
With a satisfied sigh, the ghost dissolves into nothingness, and its pool cue clatters to the floor.

- Choosing the Rack 'em up choice may permanently add to your Pool Skill, up to a maximum of 10 points. This does not reset when you ascend.
- To be more specific, the permanent pool skill bonus is equal to floor(2*sqrt(visits)), where visits is the number of times the Rack 'em up choice has been chosen, up to a maximum of 10 points.
- This means your first visit gives 2 pool skill, and an extra point is given on visits 3, 4, 7, 9, 13, 16, 21, and 25.
