Ronald and Grimace are the moons of Loathing. Grimace orbits more slowly than Ronald -- Ronald cycles from full to new twice during each cycle of Grimace. The minimoon, lovingly dubbed Hamburglar, was formed after the comet hit Grimace. Once it is known to a better extent how it affects the chart, it will be added.

Their waxing and waning have subtle influences on a number of things. Primarily, certain combinations increase a stat. Everything dealing with that stat is increased (gain from monsters, recovery of HP or MP, etc.) during the appropriate phase of the moon.

The grue familiar is also affected by the phases of the moon. If it's dark enough, the grue will fight with you. If it's too light, it won't.

The effect Blood of the Wereseal has on Muscle is also affected by the moon.  The Talisman of Baio raises all your stats based on what phase the moons are in as well.
